Pomsky – one of the most popular young breeds dogs in world. It has Spitz and husky genes. The dog has a remarkable character and attractive appearance. Breeders are still working on improving this breed, improving the parameters of its exterior and character traits.

Pomsky was specially bred as a cute miniature companion. To do this, representatives of one - fifth group (FCI) were crossed- Pomeranian Spitz and Siberian huskies. Small dogs with a distinctive husky appearance are often confused with other breeds, such as the Alaskan Kli Kai and mini husky.

In 2011, a well-known breeder Teresa Peterson from Burnsville (North Carolina, USA), specializing in husky breeding, became interested in the possibility of breeding a new breed, and 2 years later the first litter was received. At the same time, similar metizatsiyu engaged in and in Russia ( cattery lovely Pat Moscow region). for two years, all received puppies remained in the kennel for further breeding work, and the next 3 years were selected the best representatives for further formation of the breed.

To date, the breed has been recognized by 8 canine organizations such as: NKL (Russia), NRKA (Russia), NSCC (Russia), WCHSA(Bulgaria), DWCU(USA), UCI-Dobry Mir(Russia) SKOR(Russia), KUPA(Russia,Crimea). In Russia the control of a livestock breed Association provides Pomsky Russia A. P. R. , despite the fact that active growth of popularity of the breed clubs which register Pomsky becoming more the careful control of breeding is carried out only in Association Pomsky Russia.
